Community Foundations Campaign
Aktive Bürgerschaft consults and supports the cooperative banking group in their involvement with community foundations throughout Germany.
Community foundations and cooperative banks go hand in hand: both organizations are based on regionalism and decentralization, both organizations are membership based, and both organizations function according to the principles of helping others to help themselves, individual responsibility and self-administration.
The Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken (cooperative banks) support community foundations financially as donors, and by providing project-related funding or increasing the incentive to donate through matching funds. Moreover, they are involved through their donations in kind, their employees, their local know-how and their network of business and private customers.
